B V Jagadeesh is a successful Serial Entrepreneur in Technology field, a Venture Capitalist and a Philanthropist. He was the co-founder and CTO of Exodus communications in 1993 that pioneered the concept of Internet data centers. He was instrumental in successful IPO of Exodus in 1998.
Jagadeesh seed funded NetScaler in 1999 and became President and CEO in 2000. NetScaler was successfully sold to Citrix and Jagadeesh served as Group VP and GM for Citrix Application Networking Division. In 1999 Jagadeesh Seed funded and was Chairman of Netmagic Solutions in India that pioneered the concept of Managed Data Centers in India. Netmagic was sold to NTT in 2012. Jagadeesh also Seed funded Edurite in 1999 that pioneered the Digital Content in India and is a well known brand name in India as part of Pearson.
Currently Jagadeesh is a Managing Partner at KAAJ Ventures. He is an investor and active board member at Cloud Velocity, ScaleArc, Nutanix, Fonemine and Whodini in the US and Triumph Software and Rakya Technoogies in India. He is also a mentor at IIM-Bangalore and IIM-Ahmedabad. Mr. Jagadeesh teaches Entrereneurial class at Santa Clara University for MBA. He is focusing on both US and India based entrepreneurs.

Sanjay is the co-founder and Architect at Hortonworks.
He is an Apache Hadoop committer and member of the Apache Hadoop PMC. Prior to co-founding Hortonworks, Sanjay was the chief architect of core-Hadoop at Yahoo focusing mostly on HDFS, MapReduce schedulers, compatibility, etc. He has also held senior engineering positions at Sun Microsystems and INRIA, where he developed software for distributed systems and grid/utility computing infrastructures. Sanjay has a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo in Canada.
Eric is Vice President, Core Systems Group at Guavus where he is responsible for leading design and development of the Guavus Reflex Platform. He has been involved in the mobile industry for more than 14 years in a variety of roles and capacities. Prior to Guavus, Eric was vice president of mobile applications at Teleca, overseeing all aspects of their global mobile applications solutions. In this role, he was responsible for building the strategy, sales and delivery capabilities needed to help accelerate the mobile application demands of the industry. Eric joined Teleca from Loopt, a venture-backed startup, where he served as vice president of Products and Location Technologies. Eric also held senior positions at inCode Wireless (acquired by Verisign), a leading mobile consulting firm where he led the creation of multiple service lines; at Telispark (acquired by InfoWave), a mobile enterprise software company he founded; and at Deloitte Consulting, a global leader in telecommunications strategy and operations services. Eric was a Ph.D. candidate and holds a Masters degree from Stanford University. He also graduated from Carleton College with a BA in Computer Science, Economics and Math.
Arun Murthy is the co-founder and Architect at Hortonworks.
Arun is a Apache Hadoop PMC member and has been a full time contributor to the project since the inception in 2006. He is also the lead of the MapReduce project and has focused on building NextGen MapReduce (YARN). Prior to co-founding Hortonworks, Arun was responsible for all MapReduce code and configuration deployed across the 42,000+ servers at Yahoo!. In essence, he was responsible for running Apache Hadoop’s MapReduce as a service for Yahoo!. Also, he jointly holds the current world sorting record using Apache Hadoop.

Dr. Matthias Broecheler is the lead developer of the distributed graph database Titan and has researched large scale graph database systems for more than 5 years. His award-winning research includes high performance index structures and query answering algorithms for graph structured data. In addition, he developed the Probabilistic Similarity Logic (PSL) machine learning framework to analyze and reason about multi-relational data. Matthias holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland.
Milind Bhandarkar was the founding member of the team at Yahoo! that took Apache Hadoop from 20-node prototype to datacenter-scale production system, and has been contributing and working with Hadoop since version 0.1.0. He started the Yahoo! Grid solutions team focused on training, consulting, and supporting hundreds of new migrants to Hadoop. Parallel programming languages and paradigms has been his area of focus for over 20 years, and his area of specialization for PhD (Computer Science) from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He worked at the Center for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA), Center for Simulation of Advanced Rockets, Siebel Systems, Pathscale Inc. Shyam Pullela is currently Director of Engineering in IoTBU (Internet of Things Business Unit) in Cisco Systems, San Jose, CA. Srini V. Srinivasan, Aerospike founder and vice president of engineering & operations brings 20-plus years of experience in designing, developing and operating Web-scale infrastructures, and he holds over a dozen patents in database, Internet, mobile, and distributed system technologies. Srini co-founded Aerospike to solve the scaling problems he experienced with Oracle databases at Yahoo! where, as senior director of engineering, he had global responsibility for the development, deployment and 24×7 operations of Yahoo!’s mobile products, in use by tens of millions of users. Srini joined Yahoo! as part of the Verdisoft acquisition, where as vice president of engineering, he oversaw the development of high-performance data synchronization products for mobile users. Srini also was chief architect of IBM’s DB2 Internet products, and he served as senior architect of digital TV products at Liberate Technologies.
Tobias is from Schweinfurt, Germany and co-founded a web consulting company at the age of 15. He received a Dipl.-Ing. Univ. degree (equivalent to M.Sc.), and a B.Sc. from the Technische Universität München (TUM) with a major in Information and Communication Technology. His thesis focused on using machine learning and natural language processing to estimate the sentiment of movie reviews. He continued his research after graduation, which led to multiple publications, including an article in the IEEE Intelligent Systems Journal.
After graduating in 2009 he moved to San Francisco and took a job as Lead Software Architect at Pingsta, a Silicon Valley startup that is building an intelligence-as-a-service platform. Then he joined as a Tech Lead at Airbnb, a San Francisco startup that pioneered the Sharing Economy. He designed Airbnb’s service oriented architecture, provided technical leadership, and scaled the site to millions of users in 192 countries. Highlights of his work include Airbnb’s custom search engine and fraud detection systems. He left Airbnb in April 2013 to start Mesosphere, a company that is building a data center operating system for the next generation of Internet-scale applications.

Most recently he led the design and implementation of the recommender system that suggests users to follow on Twitter. Before Twitter, Pankaj was the co-founder of a music search startup. He was also the cofounder and CTO of Sahasra Networks before its acquisition by Cypress in 2002. Pankaj was the recipient of the Arthur Samuel award for the best Ph.D. dissertation in the Department of Computer Science at Stanford University in 2000-2001, and a medal winner for being the first in his undergraduate Computer Science class at IIT Delhi.

As an TV entrepreneur and VP of Service Operations and Customer Experience Engineering @Sezmi, Viroo used to oversee high-quality customer experience operations around Sezmi’s personalized HD TV services, achieved through lean operations delivered via telecom 2.0 technology. He has created a methodology for TVNO/MVNO and implemented the same for 3 global service providers leveraging a combination of eTOM, OMA DM and Virtual Managed Services. Pradip Shankar is Vice-President, Ericsson Strategic Investments, Ericsson’s venture capital organization. Pradip played a key role in setting up this new organization for Ericsson and currently serves on the boards of Mirantis, an OpenStack company, and Sand 9, a MEMS company. Previously, Pradip was a General Manager at Intel within the Intel Communication Group. He established a network processor business unit in San Jose and subsequently a switching business unit in Bangalore. Pradip was a founder of NetBoost, a venture funded startup that built a platform for network infrastructure applications and was acquired by Intel. Prior to NetBoost, Pradip was Director of Engineering at Sun Microsystems where he worked on HPC as well as Sun’s first UltraSPARC workstations, and Sun’s first Unix MP. Pradip started his career at Hewlett-Packard developing network and storage interface products. Pradip is a graduate of Wharton’s Advanced Management Program. He has Master’s Degree from UC Santa Barbara and a Bachelor’s Degree from Bangalore University. Pradip is a Charter Member of TiE and previously served as co-chair of the Cloud SIG.
Raj Gollamudi joined Intel Capital in 2013 and focuses on investments in the mobility sectors. Previously, he was an Investment Partner at Omidyar Network, an impact investing firm where he was responsible for mobile technology investments in emerging markets. Before joining Omidyar, Raj was a General Partner of BlueStream Ventures, a $300 million technology venture capital firm which he co-founded in 2000. Raj also spent five years as an equity research analyst at technology investment banking firms Thomas Weisel Partners and RBC Capital Markets, where he covered a range of software sectors. Raj began his career as a software developer at Sun Microsystems and was an early employee at Lucid, a venture-funded software startup. Raj has an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School, a Master’s in Computer Science from Clemson University, and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from BITS Pilani in India. Raj is Charter Member at TiE, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship across the world. Vibhor Rastogi is a Director at Intel Capital focusing on enterprise software investments. Vibhor led Intel Capital’s recent investment in Basis Sciences which was acquired by Intel in 2014. He is currently a board observer at TOA, CareCloud and IPCommerce. At Intel, Vibhor has also held marketing and finance roles in the graphics and smartphone business units. Prior to Intel, Vibhor was a Management Consultant at Deloitte Consulting where he provided consulting services to senior executives at Fortune 500 clients in multiple industries including Financial Services, Healthcare, Telecom, Consumer Business and Manufacturing.
